Our Community of Faith

Unitarian Universalism has a rich tradition dating from the 1500s on the Unitarian side and from the 1700s on the Universalist side. Since it is a creedless religion, it may be easier to understand UU as a living faith by noting some of the people who have been associated with it. UU has attracted such luminaries as Benjamin Franklin, Charles Darwin, Adlai Stevenson, Susan B. Anthony, Florence Nightingale, and Tim Berners-Lee (creator of the World Wide Web).

Although we hold to no creed, UUs do subscribe to a UUCH covenant, 7 guiding principles of UU, and many other common beliefs. Click on one of the links at left for more information about UU as a faith and its presence in our communities.
