Building & Grounds: This group maintains the church facility and the surrounding grounds. It meets the second Sunday of each month at noon. Contact: Pal Palmore. (back to top)

Community Action: The Community Action Committee coordinates advocacy and service activities for the congregation. Help is urgently needed for this committee. Contact: Pal Palmore. (back to top)

Committee of the Whole (COW): Every member of the congregation is a member of this committee. Together, the COW makes decisions about the direction and operations of the Church. Meetings are typically held the first Sunday in March, June, September, and December at 12 pm.(back to top)

Committee on Ministry: The 5-person Committee on Ministry works together in a collegial manner to assist all UUCH congregants in carrying out our Covenant. We meet monthly. Contact: The Rev. Dick Weston-Jones. (back to top)

Coordinating Council (CoCo): This group includes representatives from all of the operational committees. The CoCo acts at the direction of the COW, and develops proposals that the COW accepts, modifies, or rejects. Contacts: Jean-Michel Margot, Moderator; Lance Brown, Secretary; Dick Merritt, Treasurer. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm and are open to all members and friends. (back to top)

Denominational Affairs: The purpose of the Denominational Affairs Committee is to:

• Keep the congregation informed on denominational matters.
• Serve as a link between the congregation and other denominational elements such as other Unitarian Universalist congregations, Thomas Jefferson District, the Unitarian Universalist Association, and associate and affiliate organizations.
• Promote participation of members and the congregation as a whole in inter-congregation, District and continental activities, including the Chalice Lighter program.
• Budget for denominational participation such as fair share contributions to UUA and District, general training activities, and denominational meetings and conferences.

Finance: This group monitors the financial health of the Church and prepares budgets, annual statements. etc. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm. Help is needed for this committee. Contact: Carolyn Rhode.(back to top)

Green Sanctuary: This group promotes conservation and environmental protection within UUCH and in the community. The group meets on the fourth Sunday of each month at 9 am. Contact: Chris Larson. (back to top)

Membership: The Membership Committee addresses the needs of prospective and current members and friends of UUCH. Help is urgently needed for this committee. Contact: Joanne Dobbs. (back to top)

Ministerial Search (MSC): The MSC is conducting a search for a settled half-time minister in accordance with UUA settlement procedures. The five members of this ad hoc committee were elected by the Committee of the Whole (back to top)

Music and Arts (MAC): This committee coordinates and encourages the incorporation of music and other arts into our services and activities. Contact: Jennifer Hancock. (back to top)

Programs: The Program Committee coordinates the music, content, and themes for our Sunday worship services. The group meets on the first Sunday of every month at 12:15 pm, immediately after the service and coffee. Contact: Jean-Michel Margot. (back to top)

Religious Education: RE is a critical part of UUCH. This group coordinates programs for our children and youth. Meetings are held on the third Sunday of every month at 9:30 am. Contact: Barbara Cain.(back to top)

Welcoming Congregation: We educate and advocate for bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender issues both within our congregation and in the broader community. The group meets on the second Sunday of each month at 9 am. Contact: Peg Wolfe. (back to top)
